All those accents!

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the delay - it's tough when you have to stand outside the bank and use their wifi! Hope to get a phone soon! It's been a blur so far! We arrived late Friday and have been frantically buying the essentials for our place. Jet lag is not so bad so far... I'll post some pictures and do more writing later as I am going to be late for church! And it's Sunny! I thought I would never see the sun again after yesterday.

Bye beautiful BC! Hello Vancouver Airport (still BC)

Ok, here it goes.. my first blog post! 

Some crazy navagation through rushhour traffic, including an accidental ride in the HOV bus lane, Emily, Emma, Natalie and myself made it to Vancouver International Airport. It wasen't easy lugging two years worth of luggage around, a realization confirmed by the 9 extra kilos sitting in big red. (That's my suitcase). 9 kilos.. so a lot of pounds. Goodbye slippers, pillow cases, dish towels, base layers, nude heels and NY baseball cap. A special thanks to the friends in the photo above who had to walk around with my excess luggage items. Also goodbye suitcase handle which flew off when I tried to lift my suitcase off the conveyor belt. 

As the title of this post implies, I am still in Canada, as my flight is delayed two hours. It's not so bad however, as I was given the oppertunity to pass on a random act of kindess. A stranger gave me a $21 food voucher, which in turn was able to buy 3 people meals. This is how to make friends in a foreign country! Except that I'm not in a foreign country yet... but will be .. hopefully soon.
